The BMW Clubsport Trophy and BMW M235i Racing Cup share the same common philosophy: lots of hours of racing fun with identical racecars where driver and team can make the difference, and this for a manageable budget.
Also during the 2018 season the Cups will stay loyal to this philosophy and will introduce a third class next to the two already existing classes which will share the same values. For those who really want to race as many hours as possible in 2018, we offer the possibility to compete in the 24 Hours of Zolder but we also still haven't forgotten drivers who would like to make their entry into motorsport by introducing two separate formulas: ELITE and PRO.
Two championships in the 2018 calendar
By offering two separate championship formulas the main goal is on the one side the accessible entry into motorsport, but on the other side we also want to welcome the more experienced drivers or teams who love the challenge of a 24h race and love racing in the dark. This is why we have created an ELITE-championship and a PRO-championship.
In the ELITE championship drivers can compete in 7 races spread over 5 meetings for the national title of ELITE-champion. This formula offers to most accessible entry into motorsport in a national touringcar championship that guarantees lots of hours behind the wheel. For the PRO-tiles teams and drivers will additionally race the 24 Hours of Zolder, which will be without a doubt very decisive for the PRO-championship.
The calendar consists of a pure 'Belgian affair' which can also be of interest for foreign teams seen as we race at the most beautifull track on the F1 calendar, Spa-Francorchamps, 4 times this season!
