After a long summer break teams of the BMW racing caps are getting ready for the next round on the Assen TT circuit.
In the BMW M235i class the leaders in the championship, the brothers Sari in their Gamsiz by JJ Motorsport powered car, will be getting some high level competition with teams like Sorg Rennsport, Pixum Team Adrenalin Motorsport, MKR Engineering and GENAG Motorsport alongside the second placed car in the championship of the Buffet family. The M235i cars will do two qualifying sessions, one on Friday evening and one on Saturday before midday followed by a race on Saturday afternoon. The second round of the weekend will be on Sunday, starting with qualifying followed by a 200 min long race in the afternoon.
Looking at the the BMW Clubsport trophy class, we notice a change in the driver lineup of Offenga Racing. Berend Gesman will replace Mick de Jonghe, who is out for the remainder of the season. Up front, GD Sport it's in a comfortable lead for the championship and will be looking for another another victory to expand their lead. But therefore they will first have to take it up against newcomers STDG with the driver pairing Scamardi/Marucci, who are looking hungry for a victory. Last but not least we also have the Offenga Racing BMW Clubsport which will be racing in front of their home crowd, which means they will do anything to get on the highest step on the podium. For the BMW Clubsport Trophy cars all action will take place on Sunday with a qualifying session and a 200 min long race.
