Last year, as promotor of the BMW Clubsport Trophy and the BMW M235i Racing Cup Belgium, we introduced the BMW Virtual Racing Cup. The idea of the Virtual Cup was to expand our ever growing BMW fan community, by giving fans the chance to compete in a laser scanned virtual version of the BMW M235i Racing Cup.
It is no longer a secret that virtual racing or sim racing is used by many professional race car driver to hone his (or her) driver skills and learn new tracks. That’s why we opted to not only organize real life championships, but also to invest in the Virtual community by offering a virtual BMW championship in cooperation with Dynamixx simulators. This year we enjoy the support of our brand new partner SUBWAY®, whose colours will be defended in the Assetto Corsa based championship.
Last year’s championship was won by Quentin Michaux, after a thrilling end of the season. Michaux concluded the championship in his final races, securing a much wanted test in a real life BMW Clubsport Trophy racecar. This year’s winner will again be given the opportunity to make the step from virtual racing to reality during an official testday offered in a BMW Clubsport Trophy racecar with all the coaching and engineering from the race team professionals.
New for this year is that we will provide a video review after the race which will be shared on our Facebook pages as well as our homepage www.bmwracingcups.com as to give our virtual racers the chance to get closely involved with the action of the real life BMW M235i Racing Cup season.
Entering the BMW Virtual Racing Cup is at an entry fee of 25€.
